💠How to eat almonds? Raw, soaked or peeled? Let me clear this universal doubt!

✅ Raw:
🔹It is always good to have soaked almonds over raw almonds as its nutrient availability gets better when we soak them. Soaking them overnight in water lowers the phytic acid content of almonds. High phytic acid lowers calcium, zinc and manganese absorption. Having it without soaking regularly increases pitta in the blood. But, you can have it raw in case you are traveling or it is at least better than having any unhealthy snack.

✅ Soaked (with Skin):
🔹The skin is rich in fibre. So people having constipation or digestive issues should have it with skin as it’s loaded with insoluble fibre. Due to presence of polyphenols, it acts as protective agent against cardiovascular disease and cancer.

✅ Soaked (without Skin):
🔹Some elderly people who are less active can opt for soaked almonds without skin. The skin also contains tannins, which makes it difficult to digest for some people. It is seen that most people benefit out of peeled and soaked almonds.
